What brought you to the apartment industry?

Pure stroke of luck! I was ending my senior year of college at Belmont and was in the middle of my job hunt. I was living at The Grove Apartments during college and on a whim, decided to go into the leasing office to see if they were hiring. As it happened, they were in need of a leasing associate. I interviewed only days later and got the job!

Was this career path something that was always on your radar? 

No, I always saw myself working in the music industry. I just happened upon this industry by chance, but I have loved my time and wouldn't change it!

Did you have any unrelated jobs growing up that unexpectedly prepared you for the apartment industry?

My work in retail during high school and college really prepared me for the apartment industry, especially when it comes to dealing with people and customer service!

Why is property management an attractive career path? 

The job security that comes with working in property management makes this career path very attractive! Property management also allows you to play a variety of roles. On a daily basis you are running a team, assisting residents, completing administrative duties and you also have the opportunity to get out from behind your desk and be a part of making your property and landscaping a desirable asset!

Best professional advice you’ve ever been given? 

Never stop learning.

What is your favorite thing to do on the weekends?

I enjoy catching up with friends and family over dinner, being outdoors, and spending time with my dog and cats!

Do you have any pets?         

Yes, they're my family! A dog, Lulu and two cats, Milo and Blue.

Coolest place you’ve ever traveled?

Haiti for a mission trip.

What upcoming GNAA event are you excited to attend and why?

I am very much looking forward to attending our 2021 Gala! I love getting dressed up and socializing with all of my friends in the industry!

Any advice that you could give to the rising stars of GNAA?

Keep growing! Grow your skill set, grow your relationships, grow your experiences - invest in yourself!
